CIRCUIT INPUT (Continuous Loads)

Enter the breaker size and circuit description. In this example
the connected VA is entered in the VA column.

If the panel is 3-phase WYE an H column appears. If the load is electronic equipment such as a computer or electronic ballast, you need to identify the load with an H.

The NEC requires the neutral conductor be treated as a current carrying conductor when 50% of the load is subject to harmonic currents. When this harmonic load condition exists, the program will de-rate the conductor amps to 80% per NEC requirements.

Lighting is a continuous load so enter a C in the I column. The program will add 25% for continuous loads per NEC.

Math Example

If the load is 12.5 amps at 120 volts,

( 12.5A x 120V ) = 1,500 VA
